I’m delighted and honoured to say that I’ve been announced as the Renault MSA Young Photographer of the Year 2014. The awards, established in 2002, are designed to recognise the most promising journalists and photographers aged under 30 working in British motorsport.
I’m still can’t quite believe that I’ve been awarded this accolade and it’ll certainly take some time to sink in properly. As part of the award I will collect my trophy at the Night of Champions as well as my winning images framed and displayed at the Royal Automobile Club and Motor Sports House. Along with the added bonus of £1000 and provisional membership to the Guild of Motoring Writers.
Over 2014 I’ve covered the Avon Tyres British GT Championship, Blancpain Endurance Series, Blancpain Sprint Series, FIA World RX, FIA World Rally Championship and much more. It’s been a really exciting year working with some great people. I look forward to seeing how some of my new and exciting projects such as Shakedown Magazine develop in the coming year.
A big thanks to all that have supported me over the years and helping me to achieve this long term goal of mine. I can’t wait to see what next year brings.
