The cars and the fans are what make this mind-bending event something really special
Continuing from my previous blog entry on the ADAC Zurich Nürburgring 24H I thought I’d round off my coverage (for now at least) with some more photographs of the cars and the people who make this mind-bending event something really special – the fans.
The campsites were one of the main highlights of the entire event for me. One campsite in particular which stretched from Brünnchen to the Karusell was awe inspiring. Scaffolding that towered above the tracks surface helped to create an endless tunnel of German ingenuity. And don’t get me started on their fantastic use of the infamous Unimogs. Easily the best way to travel to the Nürburgring it seems! It seemed like anything was possible in the campsites; living rooms, TVs setups, towers, toilets, showers, discos and even a hot tub was all created lovingly in the forests. You don’t get this stuff anywhere else.
Here are some of my personal highlights from the 24, more images will be being posted over on my Facebook page and Twitter continuing my coverage from this event. It has easily been my favourite event of 2013 so far and one that I will certainly not be missing next year. I hope you’ve enjoyed the photographs and feel free to leave your comments below.
